Chennai, [Date]: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has revealed plans to allocate ₹3 crore to the State Official Language (Legislative) Commission. This allocation aims to facilitate the translation of Madras High Court judgments from English to Tamil.
In a statement delivered in Tamil, the Chief Minister emphasized the significance of this fund allocation. He stated that this move aligns with the Tamil Nadu government's strong stance on establishing Tamil as the official language of the Madras High Court.
Stalin went on to underline that the decision to translate Madras High Court's judgments into Tamil is consistent with the State's momentous resolution. The resolution, dating back to 1968, was spearheaded by CN Annadurai and established a bilingual policy within the Assembly. This policy allows the State to employ both Tamil and English for official communication purposes."
