The Delhi High Court will commence the live-streaming of its proceedings on Wednesday, October 11th. Initially, this initiative will be limited to the Chief Justice's court and will be implemented on a case-by-case basis, following the Court's instructions.
The live streaming link can be found on the homepage of the official website of the Delhi High Court, https://delhihighcourt.nic.in, under the title - LIVE STREAMING.
"In order to enhance access to justice, the High Court of Delhi will initiate the live streaming of court proceedings on October 11th, 2023, at 10:30 am in Court No. 1. This court comprises Hon'ble Mr Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, Hon'ble the Chief Justice, and Hon'ble Mr Justice Sanjeev Narula, and will be focused on a specific matter," stated the High Court.
The Court also mentioned that the live-streaming of proceedings before Court No. 39 will commence in the near future.
In a communication, the High Court clarified that the content provided under 'LIVE STREAMING' is solely for informational purposes and should not be considered an official record of the court proceedings.
"No person or entity, including print and electronic media, as well as social media platforms, other than authorized individuals or entities, shall record, share, or disseminate the live-streamed proceedings or archival data," the High Court emphasized.
Furthermore, the High Court highlighted that all courts within the Delhi High Court operate as paperless e-courts, utilizing video conferencing and hybrid hearings. All cases, replies, rejoinders, and documents are exclusively filed through the Online c-Filing System.
