Oudh Bar Association Seeks Transfer of High Court Judge Over Alleged Mistreatment of Advocates

The Oudh Bar Association has formally requested the exchange of a High Court judge, charging him of abusing and disrespecting advocates showing up some time recently him. The Oudh Bar Association president declared, "Decency and respect must be upheld in the courtroom." The group went on to say that the judge's actions have made advocates feel uneasy and afraid, which makes it harder for them to carry out their responsibilities impartially.

In addition to pleading for the judge to be moved, the Bar Association has asked that the matter be investigated. They contend that the judge's actions have bred animosity in the court, which is harmful to the judiciary's ability to operate effectively.
