"Senior AAG Mohsin Qadri's Elevation as High Court Judge Recommended by Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Collegium"
The Collegium of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has decided to recommend the elevation of Senior Additional Advocate General (AAG) Mohsin Qadri as a High Court judge. The decision was made during a Collegium meeting attended by Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh and Justices Tashi Rabstan and Atul Sreedharan.
According to reliable sources, the formal recommendation for Mohsin Qadri's elevation will soon be forwarded to the Supreme Court Collegium and the Union Law Ministry. The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh currently has a sanctioned strength of 17 judges, which includes 13 permanent judges and 4 additional judges.
At present, the working strength of the High Court comprises 16 judges, including 4 additional judges and 12 permanent judges, with Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh among them.
