During the hearing at the Delhi High Court, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) revealed that unauthorized removal of documents related to the excise policy scam had taken place from the office of Special Secretary (Vigilance). The documents were reportedly removed on the same day the Supreme Court of India delivered its verdict on the control of services in Delhi. The ED's Special Counsel, Zoheb Hossain, informed the court that an FIR had been filed regarding the incident and an ongoing investigation was underway. Meanwhile, the court was considering the interim bail plea of Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi minister, Manish Sisodia. Sisodia's counsel objected to the ED's submissions, claiming that the chargesheet had already been filed, and questioned the need for further investigation while his client remained in custody. The court reserved its order on the bail plea and requested a report from LNJP Hospital regarding the medical condition of Sisodia's wife, who had been admitted to the hospital.
