BCI Introduces Biometric Attendance, Criminal Background Checks, and New Declarations for Law Students

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has presented exacting modern rules pointed at improving responsibility and straightforwardness in law schools. These orders incorporate biometric participation frameworks, CCTV reconnaissance in classrooms, and comprehensive criminal foundation checks for law understudies. Beneath the modern rules, understudies must uncover any continuous criminal cases, FIRs, or feelings, coming up short which their last marksheets and degrees will be withheld.

In expansion, law understudies are required to announce that they are not seeking after any concurrent full-time degrees or work unless they've secured a No Protest Certificate (NOC). The disappointment to meet these necessities might result in strict disciplinary activity against both understudies and teach, counting the potential de-recognition of the law school.

By requiring students to keep a spotless record and show unwavering dedication to their studies, the BCI program seeks to protect the ethical norms of the legal profession. The implementation of biometric systems and CCTV cameras will mandate accurate attendance records and enhanced classroom behavior monitoring for law schools.

Law institutions must now immediately comply with these directives, and any breach of compliance may result in legal and academic consequences for students, including the non-issuance of final degrees. This move signifies a step towards enforcing stricter educational standards and integrity in legal education across the country.
