"Tragic Incident at Patna Civil Court: Transformer Explosion Claims Lives of Two, Injures Six"

Two individuals, one of whom was a lawyer, lost their lives, while six others suffered burn injuries following an explosion of a transformer installed within the premises of the Patna civil court, on Wednesday the Times of India reported.As per the report, the lawyer identified as Devendra Prasad, lost his life in the incident.Two additional lawyers suffered severe burn injuries and were promptly taken to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for urgent medical care, it added.The explosion occurred due to a leak in the transformer's oil, followed by a malfunction in the metering unit—a device attached to the transformer for High Tension (HT) consumers to signal the meter, the report suggestedPersonnel from the electrical department suggested that a technical malfunction might have triggered the fire, pending further investigation, it added.
