Delhi High Court Unveils First-of-its-Kind Disaster Recovery Centre at Madurai Bench of Madras High Court

In a first of its kind initiative, the Disaster Recovery Centre for Delhi High Court was inaugurated on Saturday at Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.

“The DR Centre for the High Court of Delhi is very crucial as it makes sure that all the courts of the High Court of Delhi can continue their functioning even in the face of disasters such as natural calamities, cyber-attacks, or infrastructure failures. This helps maintain access to critical data and services, allowing the courts to function without prolonged downtime. In the event of a disaster, a well-implemented DR Centre can facilitate a quick and seamless transition to backup systems. This minimizes downtime, ensuring that court proceedings and services can resume promptly,” said a communication issued by the Delhi High Court.

An unit of high-end NetApp Network-Attached Storage (NAS) will be installed at server room within the premises of the Court in Delhi and the second unit of NAS will be at its Disaster Recovery Centre at Madurai, nearly 2575 kilometres away and in a different seismic zone.
